BEHIND THE DESIGN
Meet emily
I like to eat.
While you may be thinking “wtf does that have to do with anything?” I promise it does.
I grew up in a restaurant. I spent my childhood making pizza and occasionally picking gum off the underside of the tables, but I’ve *matured* since that point in time. Eventually I started to bus tables, and then serve/bar tend/manage. It was a part of who I was…but not the whole part.
When I wasn’t at the restaurant, I was always doing something creative. Then at the ripe age of 17 when I had to decide what to do with the rest of my life, I chose to major in graphic design. And I don’t regret that one bit.
Now I own my freelance design business, and yes, I still bar tend– I’ve decided to mush together the things that make me the happiest! So here I am: your creative, friendly, always hungry, designer and brand strategist!

The PROCESS.
01. MEET AND GREET
Let’s set up a time to get to know each other! It’s important to make sure we jive as individuals. Not only do I want to get your designs spot on, but I also want to make sure that we have the most fun collaborating with each other.
02. SEND THE MOOD BOARDS
I will gather all of the information that we’ve dug up together– the inspiration, the special nuances, the overall vibe of the brand– and organize it into a mood board. At this point you’ll be able to visualize the brand and get a better sense of the creative direction. This is where the magic starts.
03. TIME TO DESIGN!
Once you’ve approved the mood board, I’ll get started on the designs. This is the longest part of the process because we want to get everything just right; the visuals, the colors, the typography…remember the *oomph* we talked about??
And the design doesn’t have to stop here. Visuals are one thing, but Brand Strategy is another. We can design your entire brand with extensive storytelling.
